TRI HITA KARANA: Participatory arts practice for tolerance and harmony?

Some 20 years ago, an art curator from France opened a seemingly new theme in the perpetual conversation around the question of “what is art”.

Here I should note that this is a question that concerns art theorists, historians and curators far more than from than it does artists. While academic interest in art is all about defining boundaries and limitations, for artists in general the opposite applies. As artists, we are interested in pushing the boundaries of what art is, and what it can achieve.
